9 hole Putt Putt Experience at MBP Annual Conference Virginia Beach, VA

MBP which is a construction & consulting firm with offices across the east coast was seeking an entertaining group activity at their annual conference during the 1st night of a three day conference. MBP contacted us in November of 2025 and let us know that their conference was already scheduled at the Marriott Virgina Beach Oceanfront Resort and wanted to WOW their attendees as they entered the ballroom for food, beverage and dancing. They also wanted to have their attendees have an engaging activity just outside of the ballroom where they could speak and hear each other while playing a round of mini golf. During the initial correspondences, MBP had not decided if they wanted the mini golf or putt putt experience. They asked us to contact the Marriott Virgina Beach and then make the appropriate recommendations.

Our staff started the process of obtaining the information from the venue regarding their logistics. Diagrams of the proposed area of where the 9 hole mini golf course will be setup, dimensions of hallways & freight elevators, dimensions of our panels as well as the space requirement for a standard size 9 hole rental for either mini golf or putt putt were exchanged over the following weeks. Additionally, we asked for the certificate of insurance requirements from the Marriott Virginia Beach to make sure that their insurance requirements were within our limits. We bring this point up in this customization because often times insurance requirements are an afterthought and asked after an agreement has been signed, money provided and all other logistics confirmed. However, if we as a vendor do not have the proper insurance requirements to either name the venue or the client, it will become a substantial issue later on. Thus, we always ask for this in the initial stages of a potential event. We quickly discovered that our insurance easily met the requirements for the venue.

Several 9 hole course designs were created for both our mini golf & putt putt experience. After reviewing these course designs, it was determined that a 9 hole putt putt experience would provide the most flexibility for this event. That decision was primarily based upon that if the venue changes their floor plan, the putt putt experience can easily be changed and could wrap around high boy tables, podiums and other pieces of furniture that could potentially be added to the event day of.

A 9 hole putt putt experience was installed on the 6th of March early afternoon. The course included holes with curves, sharp angles, dog legs both left & right and narrow fairways. The putt putt obstacles included a yellow railway bridge which attendees had to putt over thespan between two fairways, a red Loop de Loop, a 3 window to choose which window to putt through, a crown positioned around the cup on hole 9 and our new mini ant hills positioned along the fairways leading up to the cup at hole 9. This conference also had our new putter stand all in white which worked perfectly in keeping the golf clubs in an orderly fashion as it was a busy putt putt rental.

The individuals who hired us from MBP loved the course design after the installation was completed. They began playing the course themselves. As far as the event, once the attendees ate, it was busy throughout the evening. Individuals of all ages played as well as groups of people played. And as MBP was hoping for, it brought together attendees who did not know each other an opportunity to spend time together over a round of mini golf.
